LIFE AT SOCCER.COM
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
In 1984, Mike Moylan, a local from Durham, NC, completed a high school project aimed at addressing a personal problem - how to get himself suitable cleats and equipment to play soccer at the college level. This project would go on to revolutionize accessibility to soccer gear here in the United States forever - Mike turned his class project into a profession, launching the first-ever Eurosport catalog, providing American soccer players with access to top quality gear previously only available overseas.

A TIGHT-KNIT, SUPPORTIVE SOCCER FAMILY
Today, Sports Endeavors (parent company to Soccer.com) boasts a team of more than 400 full-time employees and over 300 part-time and seasonal workers across its three brands: Soccer.com, 431 Sports and WorldSoccerShop. While the company has continued to evolve and grow, the company remains family-owned, with brothers Mike and Brendan at the helm.
NO TWO DAYS ARE THE SAME
Every day at Soccer.com brings something new.
From hands-on tasks to exciting trips and travel opportunities to work with various brands and entities, there’s a constant energy of excitement present. It’s the only place in North America where you can truly immerse yourself in the entire world of soccer, gaining exposure to top brands, clubs, players, leagues, and federations. For the soccer enthusiast, this is the place to be.
HILLSBOROUGH, NORTH CAROLINA
Nestled in the heart of North Carolina’s Triangle region, Hillsborough is a vibrant small town known for its rich history, local art scene, beautiful weather and access to nearby rivers and lakes. The town offers a variety of activities such as hiking trails, fishing spots, parks, and local events that often occur in downtown Hillsborough. Here’s one of our favorite nature walks!
Residents of Hillsborough experience a quiet suburban lifestyle while still being within easy reach of larger metropolitan areas like Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh. The area also sits in the sweet-spot of North Carolina, just a few hours’ drive west to reach the mountains or east to hit the beach - choose your weekend adventure!
The soccer scene in the Triangle region is rapidly growing. The local professional teams include the North Carolina Courage of the NWSL and North Carolina FC of the USL Championship. There are also historic rivalries between neighboring collegiate programs such as Duke, NC State, and UNC Chapel Hill.
And don’t forget about The Soccer Tournament (TST) which has emerged as an action-packed, celebrity-driven event just down the road in Cary, NC - the winner of both the men’s and women’s versions of TST takes home $1M!
THE PROCESS
While the process of hiring will vary by each role - and may evolve based on company direction and feedback - here’s how we anticipate the process developing:
- The Pathway team will begin reviewing candidates immediately, assessing each applicant’s experience, background, and skillset
- Top candidates who meet the requirements for the roles will then receive an invite from a member of the Pathway team to participate in an initial screening interview for further evaluation
- The list of candidates will then likely be narrowed for a second interview by another member of the Pathway team in order to go deeper and more granular on discipline-specific experience
- The final round of candidates will then interview with members of Sports Endeavors, likely to include an in-person interview at the Hillsborough facility, before a final offer is extended.
We encourage all applicants to read each job description carefully and craft a thoughtful cover letter and resume that speaks to your unique qualifications for - and interest in - the position.
The application portals will be open until at least Friday, May 31.
Good luck!
